Booking your stay implies full acceptance of our terms and conditions. General Terms and Conditionsthe Campsite Rules and Regulations as well as the Swimming pool displayed at the entrance.

1. Booking conditions

Booking only becomes effective with our agreement (subject to availability) and after receipt of the deposit requested + the optional cancellation guarantee. Camping les Cinq Châteaux offers family holidays, in the traditional sense, and the accommodation is specially designed for this purpose. Camping les Cinq Châteaux reserves the right to refuse any booking which is contrary to this principle, or which seeks to deviate from it.

The Reservation is nominative and may not be transferred or sublet. The management reserves the right to refuse accommodation to persons whose names are not those given on the "reservation request". Under no circumstances may it be occupied by more people (including children and babies). In this case, the campsite has the right to refuse any additional persons. Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Allocation of places Bookings are made in the order in which they are received and according to the constraints of the schedule. The management reserves the right to change the allocation of pitch/rental numbers.

Group bookings. Any booking of more than 3 accommodations by the same individual or by different individuals who know each other and are travelling together for the same reasons on the same dates is considered to be a group. Our accommodation is exclusively for individuals. For all group booking requests, you must contact us by telephone, e-mail or via our Contact Us section. We reserve the right to examine the booking request before accepting or refusing it.

2. Rates & Taxes

All our rates Prices are available on the website (texts and photos are non-contractual), by telephone or on site. Rates are dynamic and may change throughout the season. Any benefits or promotions offered by our establishment after the booking date cannot be applied to a booking that has already been confirmed and paid for in full or in part. The contractual price may be subject to change, within the legal and regulatory limits, in the event of variations in the applicable VAT rates between the date of booking and the date of payment of the balance.

The Tourist tax represents the communal and departmental share and is 0.66? per night and per person over 18.

A tax ofEco Participation may be added between the date of reservation and the date of payment of the balance if the competent authorities (SMICTOM du Périgord Noir - Département Dordogne...) increase the financial contribution of companies to the taxes for the abstraction of natural resources (clean water) and the reprocessing of waste (waste water, household waste).

3. Terms and conditions of payment

Rules for rental accommodation For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit of 25% of the price of the services booked, plus ?15 administration fee, and possibly the amount of cancellation insurance, must be paid on booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival (except holiday vouchers or cash). For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of your stay, the full amount must be paid on the day of booking.

For the locations The deposit is set at 60 ? plus 15 ? administration costs. The balance will be paid on arrival.

Payment methods accepted We accept the following forms of payment: CB, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard, bank cheques in euros cleared in France, holiday cheques, connect holiday cheques and bank transfers. If full payment is not received 30 days before your arrival, Camping les Cinq Châteaux reserves the right to consider the reservation cancelled (except where payment on arrival has been agreed with the campsite). Payments made will not be refunded.

4. Cancellation & Changes

Changing your booking

Customers may request a change to their stay (campsite, date and/or type of accommodation) by writing to the campsite (by post or e-mail), subject to availability. No postponements will be accepted for the following season. Customers should note that if they change their holiday, they will not be able to benefit from any promotions subsequent to their initial booking, as the date of the first booking will be taken as the reference date. If no change is made, the customer will have to continue with the holiday under the original booking conditions or cancel it in accordance with the cancellation insurance conditions.

  • Any request to increase the length of your stay will be subject to availability and current prices.
  • Any request to reduce the length of your stay will be considered as a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption terms and conditions. In the absence of a message from you indicating a postponement of your arrival date, the accommodation may become available for sale again 24 hours after the arrival date stated on the contract, and you will consequently lose the benefit of your reservation.

Unused benefits

If your stay is interrupted or cut short (late arrival, early departure), you will not be entitled to a refund for any reason whatsoever.

Cancellation by camping les Cinq Châteaux

In the event of cancellation by the campsite, except in cases of force majeure, the stay will be refunded in full. However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages.

Cancellation by the camper

Cancellation and interruption of stay insurance is optional and payable in addition to the rental price at the same time as the deposit. No refunds will be made unless you take out cancellation insurance. All bookings must be cancelled in writing (e-mail) to camping@les5chateaux.com or by post. If the cancellation occurs :

  • More than 30 days before the start of your stay: the deposit will be retained as compensation.
  • Less than 30 days before the start of your stay: 100% of the total cost of your stay will be charged and no refund will be given. No changes can be made during the month preceding the start date of your stay. Outside this period, changes requested will be accepted subject to availability.

Cancellation Insurance can only be taken out at the time of the initial booking request. The general terms and conditions of cancellation insurance can be consulted at any time on our website or on request. This insurance reimburses you the compensation for breach of contract indicated above, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Cancellation insurance : MEETCH

5. Your stay

Your rental accommodation is fully equipped: furniture, crockery, pillows and duvet. The basic package is for 2 to 6 people, depending on the type of accommodation. As stated in the description on our website, each accommodation is designed for a specific number of people. For safety and insurance reasons, the maximum number of occupants cannot be exceeded.

Sheets and towels are not provided in the rentals (options available on reservation).

Tents are not permitted on the pitch (unless agreed by the management). The "PARKING" area is designed for one vehicle only. All other vehicles must park outside the campsite.

Arrival and departure on the day of your choice, except in July and August (Saturday or Wednesday). Minimum length of stay varies according to the period and type of accommodation, details on our website.

Arrival in chalets from 4.00 pm to 7.30 pm.

When the keys are handed over, you will be asked to pay a deposit of ? 200 by bank transfer to cover any damage to the accommodation. There is no inventory on arrival and departure, any dissatisfaction with the HouseholdAny damage to the property, or the general condition of the accommodation, must be reported on the day of arrival to enable our teams to rectify the situation. After this time, no complaint will be accepted.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the accommodation. Any smell of tobacco requiring the washing of curtains and duvets will result in the deposit being cashed.

The arrivals on camping pitches are available every day between 2.00 pm and 7.30 pm. Connection to the electrical terminals must be made using cables and plugs that comply with current legislation. Please allow for a cable length of 30 metres and a European adapter. The campsite is unable to supply the above equipment. Pitches can accommodate a maximum of 6 people.

In the event of late arrivalPlease contact us before 6 p.m. so that the campsite can make arrangements. (by e-mail to camping@les5chateaux.com). If you wish to arrive in the morning, you must book the night before. Any delay in the arrival time must be notified so that the rental can be retained. The manager reserves the right to dispose of the pitch if there is no news within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival date. Payments made will not be refunded.

Departure in rental accommodation

On the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10am. The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition, and the inventory checked. The deposit is retained after your departure, and it is when our team visits within 48 hours that the deposit is cancelled (credit card imprint) if no damage or lack of cleaning has been noted, or cashed partially or totally if the cleaning has not been carried out or if damage and/or missing equipment has been noted. In this case, the customer will be informed by e-mail (with supporting photos) or by text message (if there is no e-mail).

The camping pitches must be vacated before 12.00 noon. Departure after 12.00 p.m. will give rise to the payment of an additional night. In the event of early departure, all days booked will be billed.

During your stay

It is the camper?s responsibility to take out insurance: campers are responsible for looking after their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.). The campsite declines all responsibility in the event of an incident for which the camper is liable. All guests must comply with the campsite rules and regulations. Each tenant is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by people staying with them or visiting them.

The visitors

For security reasons, visitors must register with reception on arrival before visiting a tenant. Access to the swimming pool is strictly forbidden to all visitors. The management reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite to unregistered visitors.

Barbecue

Electric barbecues are not permitted on the campsite. Each rental unit has a charcoal barbecue. The campsite also has two communal barbecue areas.

The animals Pets are accepted at an additional cost, subject to a limit of 1 pet in a rental accommodation and 2 pets in a pitch. Tenants must comply with the following conditions: ? they must not sleep on the beds, benches or duvets; ? they must never be left alone in the facilities; ? they must be kept on a lead and their vaccinations must be up to date. Animals are not allowed in the pool area, food shops or buildings. 1st AND 2nd CATEGORY DOGS, OR SIMILAR AND PETS PROHIBITED. They must not disturb the peace and safety of other campers. Owners must pick up after their pets.

Please note that during the high season, only 3 rental properties (Classic Range) can accommodate pets under the same conditions.

For any stay with a pet, you will be asked to pay an additional deposit of 90? to cover the cleaning costs inherent in the presence of the pet.

Supplements

Any undeclared supplements (extra person, dog, etc.) discovered during an inspection during the stay will be billed to the customer from the date of arrival.

The pool is free and reserved for campsite customers only. For reasons of hygiene and safety, only clothing suitable exclusively for swimming, tight-fitting and short, is accepted: one-piece or two-piece swimming costumes, swimming briefs or swimming shorts. Bermuda shorts are not permitted in the pool. No drinking, eating or smoking on the beaches. No large inflatable animals or buoys allowed.

The Traffic and parking vehicles and recharging electric vehicles

Vehicle speed is limited to 10 Km/h. The gate to the campsite is open from 7.00 to 23.00. There is an overnight car park (visitor car park) at the entrance to the campsite. In all cases, only vehicles belonging to campers staying at the campsite may be used. As the campsite has no electricity points, it is strictly forbidden to recharge electric vehicles on the campsite premises. Charging points are available in the village, a 15-minute walk away. A charge of ?50 will be levied by the campsite for each vehicle charged.

Noise

All campers must respect the quiet of the night between 11pm and 7am.

In the event that a customer disrupts the stay of other users, does not respect the provisions of the house rules or has given false information concerning the occupants of the plot, the manager or his representative may, orally or in writing, if he deems it necessary, give formal notice to the customer to cease the disturbance. In the event of serious or repeated breaches of the internal rules and regulations, and after the manager has served formal notice to comply, the contract may be terminated. In the event of a criminal offence, the manager may call in the police.

Image rights

During your stay, we may take photographs and/or videos within the campsite for the purposes of entertainment and/or communication in which you and the persons accompanying you are likely to appear.

You must give your express authorisation for them to be used, for yourself or for minors over whom you have authority. If necessary, you should express your disagreement with the image rights as soon as you arrive.

Rules of procedure

Throughout your stay, you must comply with the campsite rules and regulations, a copy of which is displayed at reception. We will be happy to send you a copy by e-mail on request.

6. Responsibilities of the contracting customer

The contractual client of the accommodation or pitch (name given on the booking form) undertakes to use, and to ensure that any persons accompanying him/her use, the park facilities and installations in accordance with their intended purpose and normal use. In particular, they undertake to leave their accommodation or pitch in good condition when they leave at the end of their stay.

Any damage to the premises, trees and plantations, or loss or destruction of the furnishings in the mobile homes or public buildings on the park automatically renders the person responsible liable. The contractual customer of an accommodation or pitch is considered to be personally liable for any damage, loss, deterioration, disturbance or nuisance caused by persons who are not the owner of the accommodation or pitch.

7. Responsibilities of the campsite

  • Theft, loss, damage or deterioration of personal effects of any kind, during or following a stay.
  • Breakdown or outage of technical equipment, breakdown or permanent or temporary closure of certain campsite facilities when these are beyond the campsite's control and are due to force majeure.
  • One-off measures taken by the campsite management to restrict access to certain facilities, including the swimming pool, when necessary to comply with safety standards or carry out maintenance work.
