A vision from the heart of the Earth.
What do the bowels of the earth look like?
As you descend, the atmosphere changes. The light fades, replaced by a gentle humidity and a stable temperature of 13° all year round. These characteristics open the door to the development of unique vegetation. This abyss is nothing less than an immense doorway, vertical and vertiginous, inviting us to pass from the outside world to the underground world in just a few minutes.
It's a gateway to a world of a thousand surprises and discoveries, a world that still hides just as many mysteries...

Caves of the Roc de Cazelle

Numerous scenes recreating the lives of our ancestors take you back in time, from prehistoric times and the Middle Ages to 1966, when a farming couple moved into a monolithic house carved entirely out of the rock (with a large collection of old objects and tools, and farm animals). The traditional dwelling has been reconstructed here, in keeping with the customs and history of the Périgord region.

The entire route is equipped with educational signposts providing a coherent, chronological overview of the occupation of the cliffs through the ages.

Caving in Vézac

In the land of man, caves are an integral part of our heritage. Witnesses to our history, they reveal marvellous landscapes as they wind their way through the galleries. The underground world is also an amazing ecosystem, with its own fauna, flora and climate. Last but not least, it's an adventure playground that can satisfy even the most athletic fans.

Our state-qualified instructors will share their knowledge and experience with you in the safest possible way. The equipment provided (progression equipment, lighting, wetsuit) complies with current standards and will enable you to get the most out of your outing.

Via Ferrata in Vézac

Built into the side of a cliff a hundred metres above river level, the Via Ferrata at Marqueyssac offers a 200-metre acrobatic cliff course. A combination of hiking and climbing, the Via Ferrata is a cliff-side course. Just a few minutes from the campsite, the Via Ferrata des Jardins de Marqueyssac is completely self-sufficient thanks to a continuous lifeline.
Accessible to all, sporty or not, from the age of 8 and over 1m30.

Aquarium du Périgord Noir

Over an area of 4,000m2, discover 66 tanks and over 3 million litres of water, home to over 6,000 fish: from the carp of our ponds, to the catfish of our rivers, to the impressive sturgeon of our estuaries, freshwater fish will hold no more secrets for you.
Since 2014, you can discover the world of reptiles in the Alligator Park, where Alligators, Caimans, Iguanas and Reptiles will surprise you over more than 2,000m2.

Bournat Park

On the banks of the river, this tourist site is quite different from the others: no troglodytic caves or castles, but historical heritage! The unusual park takes you back to the South-West of 120 years ago, with its beautiful countryside, customs and trades. Visit the Dordogne valley and enjoy the great outdoors, but also learn and pass on your knowledge to younger visitors, who are sure to have a great time.
